DEATH is what is believed to be the end of all living creatures. As a result, death remains the greatest fear and loss to generations of humans. Everyone living would love to live forever but no one wants to die, as most people lack the understanding that death is not the end of life. Life and death are intertwined, and this makes them difficult to distinguish. For instance, think about the death and regeneration of human body cells over time, in that sense, one is constantly dying while living. Besides, life and death are not static for they continuously evolve progressively. Thus, when death terminates the biological functions of a living creature, that occurrence gives rise to another form of life. Although life and death are intertwined, many humans still consider death as one unpleasant phenomenon. Death is inevitable, as it signifies the completion of a natural life cycle. Besides, humans should always remember that dying is also an act of living.
Living life positively is a choice for each human being who is aware that death remains inevitable for all creatures. Therefore, humans must learn and choose to live life positively and worry less about death, since it is inevitable. Death is not the greatest loss in this world, the greatest loss is when life dies inside a human while such a human is still alive. No one asked to be born into this world—it just happens—which is why it is called ‘the gift of life’. Life is the greatest phenomenon, it is priceless and unique to everyone alive, and if you want to enjoy this phenomenon, start celebrating this event called LIFE.

Today I choose to meditate in savasana posture but forget to set the alarm. Afterwards, I’m standing in my room. And I can see my wardrobe, work-desk, and bed. Then I see my body lying unconscious on the floor. I start trembling. I lean towards the wall for support, but it melts like a mass of clouds. I tumble through the fading wall into the ocean. Suddenly I’m floating among psychedelic seahorses, tie-dyed mandarin-fish, kaleidoscopic sea-turtles, and luminous clownfish. I stay afloat among these sea creatures adoring the deep ocean scenery. I think I have overcome my fear of deep water but then I start gasping for breath, my lungs fill with water. My limbs get heavier, my brain fogs from lack of oxygen. Out of the deep blue, I sense a pulsing voice from afar. “Do you want to go back?” I answer yes—inaudibly. I tremble and gasp, mouth wide-open, like a fish washed ashore. I flop back and forth, before I regain my breath and get off the floor.

The dream you have while asleep is a recap and highlight of your previous conscious and unconscious perceptions. That mental imagery you called dream is actually a series of unresolved emotions which are sucked into your subconscious mind while you are awake. A good or sweet dream is a presentation of pleasant imagery, and it is the type you usually wish for yourself and your loved ones – especially when going to bed. Basically, an average dream can last twenty minutes, and that is when the dreamer is having a good dream which is filled with sweet fantasies. But a nightmare is cut short when the dreamer is terrified or threatened during a dream.
